La Vapid Sheriff Cruiser est une berline Emergency quatre portes de taille standard utilisée par le Los Santos County Sheriff dans Grand Theft Auto V et Grand Theft Auto Online. Basée sur la Vapid Stanier et très proche de la Police Cruiser, elle arbore une livrée entièrement blanche du Los Santos County Sheriff, dont les marquages sont limités aux portes avant. Elle peut transporter quatre personnes et apparaît avec une rampe lumineuse LED plate ou une rampe à ampoules incandescentes rotative. Un petit insigne "Police Cruiser" est apposé sur le coffre, et le véhicule ne possède pas de radio civile.

Dans Grand Theft Auto V, des Sheriff Cruisers patrouillent sur les autoroutes au-delà de Los Santos, apparaissent pendant les niveaux de recherche dans Los Santos County et Blaine County, et peuvent poursuivre des Street Criminals. Elles peuvent être trouvées aux postes du shérif de Paleto Bay et Sandy Shores, appelées via le 911 dans les deux comtés, ou rencontrées à Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Elles apparaissent également dans Pack Man, Paleto Score Setup et The Paleto Score, ainsi que dans les événements aléatoires Countryside Robbery et Prisoner Lift. Monter dans l'une d'elles fournit un Pump Shotgun.

La Cruiser accélère rapidement, maintient une vitesse élevée dans des conditions appropriées et négocie bien les virages rapides. Les performances de son moteur correspondent à celles de la Police Cruiser, tandis que ses performances en tout-terrain sont supérieures à celles de son homologue urbaine. Elle se déforme toutefois facilement sous les tirs et les collisions. Dans Grand Theft Auto Online, elle apparaît au Sandy Shores Sheriff's Station et au Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office lorsqu'un de ces lieux est occupé ou qu'un niveau de recherche est actif, peut répondre à un appel de police au 911 dans Blaine County, et est utilisée par les ennemis dans les survies Project 4808B: Ranch et Project 4808C: Grapeseed.

Anecdotes

◆NOOSE officers can be seen driving it in pre-release screenshots. It could be that in the Beta, the Cruiser was used as a placeholder before the Sheriff SUV was developed.
◆The Sheriff Cruiser variant of the Second-gen Stanier bears Los Santos County Sheriff's livery, however, the same vehicles patrol further north, in Blaine County. This does not seem to be a mistake in the game, since a police station actually situated in Paleto Bay (North Blaine County) is a designated 'Los Santos County Sheriff's Office', and has its namesake cars in the lot.
◆The Sheriff Cruiser of the Sandy Shores Sheriff's Station belongs to a female deputy and when spawned, the unit number will always be 03.
◆In the beta, these cars had the old blue and yellow license plates. Also, they were originally black and white, similar to the LSPD Police Cruiser.
◆The Sheriff Cruisers on scene at the Countryside Robbery random event sometimes glitch, with un-closed doors and non-working sirens.
◆The rear LED lights appear to be mounted too high from the interior, causing the light mountings to clip on the roof.
◆As the shoreline at Del Perro Beach and Vespucci Beach is considered to be outside of Los Santos city limits, LSSD officers driving Sheriff Cruisers can spawn in these areas if the player has a wanted level, and will join any existing LSPD units pursuing the player's vehicle.
◆Similar to the FIB Granger and FIB Buffalo, the Sheriff Cruiser can be recolored in the Content Creator.
