El Vapid Sheriff Cruiser es un sedán grande de cuatro puertas de la clase Emergencia, utilizado por el Los Santos County Sheriff en Grand Theft Auto V y Grand Theft Auto Online. Está basado en el Vapid Stanier y es muy parecido al Police Cruiser. Lleva la librea blanca del Los Santos County Sheriff, con los distintivos limitados a las puertas delanteras. Tiene capacidad para cuatro ocupantes y puede aparecer con una barra LED plana o una barra giratoria incandescente. En el maletero lleva una pequeña placa "Police Cruiser" y no dispone de radio civil.
En Grand Theft Auto V, los Sheriff Cruiser patrullan las autopistas fuera de Los Santos, aparecen con nivel de búsqueda en Los Santos County y Blaine County, y pueden perseguir a Street Criminals. Se encuentran en las comisarías de Paleto Bay y Sandy Shores, acuden tras llamar al 911 en ambos condados y recorren Bolingbroke Penitentiary. También aparecen en Pack Man, Paleto Score Setup y The Paleto Score, además de los eventos Countryside Robbery y Prisoner Lift. Al entrar en uno, el personaje obtiene una Pump Shotgun.
El Cruiser acelera con rapidez, puede mantener velocidades altas en el terreno adecuado y toma curvas rápidas con soltura. Su motor rinde igual que el del Police Cruiser, aunque se comporta mejor fuera del asfalto que su equivalente urbano. A cambio, los disparos y los choques deforman el vehículo con facilidad. En Grand Theft Auto Online, aparece en las comisarías de Sandy Shores y Paleto Bay cuando se ocupa uno o existe nivel de búsqueda, responde a una llamada policial al 911 en Blaine County y lo usan enemigos en las supervivencias Project 4808B: Ranch y Project 4808C: Grapeseed.
Curiosidades
- ◆NOOSE officers can be seen driving it in pre-release screenshots. It could be that in the Beta, the Cruiser was used as a placeholder before the Sheriff SUV was developed.
- ◆The Sheriff Cruiser variant of the Second-gen Stanier bears Los Santos County Sheriff's livery, however, the same vehicles patrol further north, in Blaine County. This does not seem to be a mistake in the game, since a police station actually situated in Paleto Bay (North Blaine County) is a designated 'Los Santos County Sheriff's Office', and has its namesake cars in the lot.
- ◆The Sheriff Cruiser of the Sandy Shores Sheriff's Station belongs to a female deputy and when spawned, the unit number will always be 03.
- ◆In the beta, these cars had the old blue and yellow license plates. Also, they were originally black and white, similar to the LSPD Police Cruiser.
- ◆The Sheriff Cruisers on scene at the Countryside Robbery random event sometimes glitch, with un-closed doors and non-working sirens.
- ◆The rear LED lights appear to be mounted too high from the interior, causing the light mountings to clip on the roof.
- ◆As the shoreline at Del Perro Beach and Vespucci Beach is considered to be outside of Los Santos city limits, LSSD officers driving Sheriff Cruisers can spawn in these areas if the player has a wanted level, and will join any existing LSPD units pursuing the player's vehicle.
