À Lagras, Arthur Morgan rejoint Dutch van der Linde, John Marston, Bill Williamson et Lenny Summers à bord d'un skiff. Thomas les guide à travers Bayou Nwa jusqu'à l'arrière du manoir d'Angelo Bronte à Saint Denis. Le gang accoste à un embarcadère, escalade le mur et progresse à travers le domaine. Lorsque les gardes de Bronte leur barrent le passage, Arthur et les autres ouvrent le feu. Ils abattent les hommes postés dehors, puis entrent de force dans le manoir.
À l'intérieur, le gang combat les gardes de Bronte au rez-de-chaussée avant de monter à l'étage pour le chercher. Ils trouvent Bronte dans l'une des chambres. Il tente d'utiliser son pistolet contre John, mais celui-ci lui fait défaut, et John l'assomme. Arthur charge Bronte sur son épaule tandis que le gang rebrousse chemin à travers la maison. Des hommes de loi convergent à l'extérieur, et Arthur, Dutch, John, Bill et Lenny se battent à travers les rues et le marais pour rejoindre le skiff.
Alors que Thomas éloigne le gang à travers le bayou, Bronte se réveille et se dispute avec Dutch. Il se moque de la vie de hors-la-loi de Dutch et offre de l'argent aux autres pour qu'ils se retournent contre leur chef. Dutch refuse de l'écouter. Il saisit Bronte, le noie dans l'eau et jette son corps à un alligator. Arthur et John observent en silence tandis que le skiff ramène le gang à Shady Belle.

Anecdotes
- ◆After drowning Bronte, Dutch says to John, "It is us, or him! I figure it might as well be him." Years later, a similar line is spoken by John himself during his confrontation with Javier Escuella: "It's you or me, the way I see it, it might as well be you."
- ◆At the start of the mission, while on the way to Bronte's mansion, Arthur has a slight cough, another sign of his advancing tuberculosis.
- ◆Dutch calls Bronte a "repulsive little maggot" as he's drowning him. Pearson can be heard saying this to Uncle when he insults Pearson's cooking in one of the camp encounters.
- ◆There are two documents which can be collected during the mansion raid. One document is a note of racketeering numbers for Saint Denis business. And another document is a telegram to Police Chief Lambert, telling him to place his men near the trolley station.
- ◆This mission title is a parody of an age-old proverb, "Revenge is a dish best served cold."
- ◆When the gang begins breaking into Bronte's mansion, Arthur will receive a Double-Barreled Shotgun from Dutch. If the player already carries two longarms, it will replace one of them.
- ◆Dutch can be seen picking up said Double-Barreled Shotgun on the right side of the fountain, which results in the icon disappearing from the mini-map.
- ◆Despite being given by Dutch, the weapon is actually the player's own Double-Barreled Shotgun and will carry over any upgrades or customizations already applied to this weapon.
- ◆If the player shoots the doorknob with any weapon before Dutch passes you the shotgun, he will instead sling it on his shoulder and wait for Arthur to kick the door in. This is one of the only cases of Dutch carrying a longarm in game.
- ◆If the player takes too long to get to the door, John will open it instead.
- ◆Bronte is carrying $150, which can be looted after he is knocked out during the raid. The money can be used to pay off the bounty gained by the raid.
- ◆Bronte's Mauser Pistol, which he throws at John, can be picked up before grabbing his unconscious body, despite the weapon not being unlocked until the Chapter 5 mission "That's Murfree Country".
- ◆If the player fires a shot before entering Bronte's mansion, John will react to it.
- ◆The alligator that eats Bronte once he is thrown off the skiff is shown earlier, when the gang reaches the back of Bronte's mansion.
