L'Hatchet è un'arma da mischia presente nella versione migliorata di Grand Theft Auto V e Grand Theft Auto Online. Ha un manico marrone, una lama grigia e una piccola striscia rossa, bianca e blu vicino alla testa. La sua forma ricorda la Fire Axe.

In Grand Theft Auto V, Ammu-Nation vende l'Hatchet per $750 dopo il completamento di Trevor Philips Industries. Un altro esemplare si trova sul portico di una vecchia casa di legno nella parte occidentale del Grand Senora Desert, accanto a un Sawed-Off Shotgun. In Grand Theft Auto Online, Ammu-Nation lo vende per $750.

L'Hatchet è un'arma compatta e affilata che infligge ingenti danni in mischia, uccidendo con due colpi come il Knife e l'Antique Cavalry Dagger. Dopo aver colpito un pedone o un altro giocatore, sulla lama compare del sangue. Può essere usata anche da una motocicletta. Dal 26 luglio 2021, è gratuita per tutti i giocatori di Grand Theft Auto Online.

Curiosità

◆The animations for the Hatchet will differ between third and first person modes. In third person, the player will hit any area of the body, hitting the head while in stealth mode. In first person, the player will only hit the back of the enemy, even while in stealth mode. A possible reason for this is that hitting an enemy in first person would show more of the gruesome damage inflicted.
◆The Hatchet was originally exclusive to returning players, however as of Summer 2017 it is available to all players.
