Donkey to standardowy osioł, oparty na Equus africanus asinus. W Red Dead Redemption 2 i Red Dead Online jest zwierzęciem, na którym można jeździć i które można przywiązać. Jest znacznie mniejszy i wolniejszy od koni, więc ustępuje im pod względem prędkości oraz rozmiaru. W losowych spotkaniach w Red Dead Online na osłach jeżdżą Danger Seeker i Fame Seeker. W pobliżu Annesburg można też rzadko zobaczyć mężczyznę jadącego na jednym z nich. Osły nie dają loot.

- ◆Donkeys sell for zero cents at the horse fence. Upon selling a Donkey, Clay Davies will remark that Clive Davies likes Donkeys because he can bond with them.

- ◆In the preview photo for "A Kind and Benevolent Despot", the Donkey that is seen is far bigger than the one used in the final game, possibly implying they were originally meant to be closer to the size of the Mules in Red Dead Redemption.
