Ele aparece como um carro civil e estabelece o nome Stanier para um modelo que antes era representado por veículos de serviço. Suas rodas originais também são usadas pelo Minivan, enquanto Taxi, Police Cruiser, Sheriff Cruiser e Unmarked Cruiser adotam a forma mais recente de segunda geração.
Em Grand Theft Auto V, o Stanier aparece nas ruas de Strawberry e às vezes em Richman. Em Grand Theft Auto Online, é comum em Strawberry e Rockford Hills, além de surgir nos arredores de Vinewood Hills, West Vinewood e Cypress Flats. Southern San Andreas Super Autos vende o sedã por $10,000. O carro saiu do catálogo durante a atualização San Andreas Mercenaries e voltou com a atualização Money Fronts.
O Stanier divide grande parte de seu comportamento com o Police Cruiser de segunda geração. Seu V8 twin-cam modificado garante velocidade final acima da média, e o carro preserva boa parte do embalo em curvas fechadas feitas em alta velocidade, embora a carroceria incline de forma perceptível. A tração traseira permite derrapadas sob aceleração nas curvas. Ele também suporta vários impactos diretos no chassi, no trem de força e na suspensão.

- ◆The Stanier's Southern San Andreas Super Autos description references an issue in early models of the second generation Crown Victoria, which caused fatal instances of explosions and fires after high-speed impacts. This was mitigated when Ford began to offer a fire suppression system from factory.
- ◆The website's description also references the Crown Victoria's legacy as a fleet vehicle. The Crown Victoria was widely used by police and taxicab services from the 1990s into the 2010s and usually was equipped with the police package.
- ◆Similar to the Gresley, the Stanier could be named after a famous locomotive engineer, William Stanier, who was best known for his designs for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.
