A Panther é um grande felino de Red Dead Redemption 2 e Red Dead Online, baseado em Puma concolor couguar. Ela é uma das duas espécies de pantera do jogo, ao lado da Florida Panther. As duas dividem o mesmo habitat e podem aparecer nos mesmos locais. A Panther se comporta como o Cougar, estando entre os predadores mais perigosos em combate próximo.
Panthers aparecem nos arredores de Old Harry Fen e Lagras, em Lemoyne, e também em Stillwater Creek, no Red Dead Online. Elas podem surgir de repente em áreas de mata ou vegetação fechada e, às vezes, atacam primeiro o cavalo antes de avançar contra o cavaleiro. Uma Panther pode carregar diretamente contra o alvo ou ficar escondida nos arbustos para emboscar. Sua velocidade e agilidade deixam pouco tempo para reagir.
Caçar uma Panther rende Panther Fur, Big Game Meat e Panther Carcass. A qualidade da pele é mantida com uma morte limpa, enquanto tiros que causam dano reduzem a qualidade do pelo. Como é difícil enxergá-las na cobertura da floresta, Panthers funcionam tanto como encontros perigosos na natureza quanto como fonte de materiais animais.
