La Panther es un gran felino de Red Dead Redemption 2 y Red Dead Online, basado en Puma concolor couguar. Es una de las dos especies de pantera del juego, junto con la Florida Panther. Ambas comparten hábitat y pueden aparecer en los mismos lugares. La Panther se comporta como el Cougar, por lo que figura entre los depredadores más peligrosos a corta distancia.
Las Panthers aparecen cerca de Old Harry Fen y Lagras, en Lemoyne, y también en Stillwater Creek en Red Dead Online. Pueden salir de improviso en zonas boscosas o de vegetación espesa, y a veces atacan primero al caballo antes de ir a por su jinete. Una Panther puede cargar directamente contra su presa o permanecer oculta entre los arbustos para tender una emboscada. Su rapidez y agilidad dan poco margen de reacción.
Cazar una Panther proporciona Panther Fur, Big Game Meat y Panther Carcass. La calidad de la piel se conserva con una muerte limpia, mientras que los disparos dañinos reducen la calidad del pelaje. Al ser difíciles de distinguir entre la cobertura del bosque, las Panthers funcionan tanto como encuentros peligrosos en la naturaleza como fuente de materiales animales.
