Rolling Block Rifle представляет собой снайперскую винтовку с оптическим прицелом для дальних выстрелов. Конструкция Litchfield Rolling Block предназначена для охоты на крупных животных и дальнего боя, а телескопические прицелы доступны с разным увеличением. Винтовка вмещает один патрон, использует Rifle Ammo и позволяет носить до 120 патронов. Для нее подходят винтовочные патроны Regular, High Velocity, Split Point, Express и Explosive.
Arthur получает винтовку бесплатно у оружейника в Valentine во время "The Sheep and the Goats". После "Pouring Forth Oil" в Chapter 2 оружейники продают ее за $187. В Red Dead Online она появляется у оружейников после достижения Rank 13. Ее также можно заказать через Handheld Catalog, а затем забрать с лошади, в Post Office или в Camp.
Винтовка отличается очень высоким уроном и дальностью, поэтому относится к наиболее мощному оружию для атаки одиночной цели на расстоянии. - ◆The weapon is based on the Remington Rolling Block rifle. Specifically the No.1 Sporting, as evidenced by the energy delivered by its ammunition, and the shortened forend with the lack of a bayonet lug.
- ◆The HUD icon of the Rolling Block Rifle is incorrectly depicted in the game, as the stock is lower positioned and the scope more positioned on the back than aligned with the start of the barrel as shown in the game.
- ◆The Rolling Block Rifle is one of two guns which players are forced to look through a scope when aiming in regardless of which camera mode they're using, with the other gun being the Carcano rifle. Combined with its low rate of fire, this rifle has very limited usefulness during a close range firefight.
- ◆With the use of a glitch, the player can completely bypass this restriction by removing the scope from the rifle. The scopeless rolling block rifle is fully functional in first and third person, and thus can be used like a more powerful Springfield rifle. However, they cannot auto-aim due to the gun not being intended to be used this way. This also renders the gun's catalog description ironic, which mocks those who fight at close range.
