Gertrude Braithwaite هي ابنة Catherine Braithwaite وعضوة في عائلة Braithwaite في Scarlett Meadows، Lemoyne. تعاني من تشوهات ومن اضطراب عقلي. وخشية الضرر الذي قد تلحقه معرفة حالتها باسم العائلة، يبقيها أقاربها في ضيعة Braithwaite بدلا من إيداعها مصحة. يحبسونها في كوخ خارجي قرب Braithwaite Manor، حيث يجعلها العزل والإهمال أكثر اضطرابا مع الوقت.

- ◆If Arthur shoots a gun or throws a molotov or dynamite at the outhouse, he will lose honor, but Gertrude will be nevertheless unaffected. But shooting a gun toward Gertrude's direction can also shut her up.
