In Clemens Point bittet Molly O'Shea Arthur Morgan zu sich, um über Dutch zu sprechen. Bevor sie viel sagen kann, unterbricht Uncle sie, denn er hat von einem offenbar unbewachten Versorgungswagen erfahren. Arthur willigt nur ein, wenn Uncle ihn begleitet. Gemeinsam mit Uncle, Charles Smith und Bill Williamson reitet er los, und die vier Männer warten an einer Kreuzung in Scarlett Meadows auf den Wagen.

Sie halten den Wagen an und erfahren von seinen Fahrern, dass er Cornwall Kerosene & Tar gehört. Charles durchsucht den hinteren Teil, während Arthur ihm hilft, die Lohnkasse an sich zu nehmen. Cornwalls Wachen rücken rasch auf sie zu, sodass die Gang den Raub abbrechen und zu Pferd durch den Wald fliehen muss. Sie erreichen Compson's Stead, schicken ihre Pferde fort und verstecken sich bei Einbruch der Nacht in der Scheune.

Nachdem ein Hausbesetzer im Haus ein Geräusch nahe der Scheune meldet, durchsuchen Wachen das Anwesen. Als die Männer eintreten, stößt Bill einen Eimer um und verrät damit die Gang. Arthur, Uncle, Charles und Bill kämpfen sich hinaus, während eine zerbrochene Laterne die Scheune in Brand setzt. Im Wald trennen sich Arthur und Uncle von Charles und Bill. Arthur rettet Uncle vor einer Wache, dann treffen sie wieder auf Charles und Bill, töten die übrigen Verfolger, teilen das Geld auf und gehen in Scarlett Meadows getrennte Wege.

Wissenswertes

  • ◆During the cutscene after looting the wagon, Uncle can be briefly seen without his beard in one shot. This is a glitch, as he is meant to be wearing his bandana in that scene.
  • ◆While being chased by Cornwall's private guard, it is possible to steal one of their horses; the Seal Brown Dutch Warmblood and the Piebald Tobiano Hungarian Half-bred are among them.
  • ◆These horses can also be stolen towards the end of the mission when helping Bill and Charles. Wait until Cornwall's men appear with the horses then kill one of them, jump on the horse and stay on until the mission ends. The horse afterwards will stay on the log instead of running away and disappearing.
  • ◆The property that the four gang members hide is a barn on Compson's Stead. However, the house appears to be occupied during this mission, despite it being empty and abandoned the rest of the time. With subtitles with names turned on, the person in the house is revealed to be a squatter, hence his reluctance to cooperate with Cornwall's men when asked if he'd seen anything.
  • ◆That same squatter appears again in the stranger mission "The Iniquities of History".
  • ◆If the player alerts the guard in the barn before Bill does, Bill will criticize Arthur's actions during the firefight.
  • ◆If the player does not climb out of the barn to escape, they will eventually burn to death, failing the mission.
  • ◆Even if the player fails to be sneaky when Arthur and Uncle must take out the two guards stealthily, Uncle will still comment that Bill and Charles "weren't so lucky" as if Arthur and Uncle were successful.
  • ◆If Arthur doesn't save Uncle from the guard after the failed stealth kill, Uncle will scold him for it.
  • ◆If the player is spotted near the dead guards after the mission, they will get a "Wanted" status.
  • ◆The voice line where Uncle says, "Woah. Let-let-let's hide in here… quick." was actually voiced by his original voice actor, John O'Creagh.
