Player notes

Andreas Sanchez is an FIB agent who works beside Steve Haines and Dave Norton. He first enters the story outside the FIB building, where Haines and Norton meet Michael De Santa. Sanchez is present as the agents press Michael, Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips into extracting Ferdinand Kerimov from the IAA building. The FIB wants Kerimov because of his suspected connection to Tahir Javan, while Haines wants the operation credited to him.

Sanchez next attends Haines and Norton's meeting with Michael, Franklin and Trevor over a Stockade carrying government bonds. The agents force the three criminals to steal it before the IAA can use the bonds to finance gang activity. After the crew robs the Blaine County Savings Bank in Paleto Bay to provide money for an FIB operation, Sanchez gives them their shares. He leaves with the remaining money and tells them that Haines will contact them when the operation is ready.

After The Bureau Raid, Sanchez accompanies Haines and Norton to the Kortz Center to confront Michael. When Agent ULP and the IAA arrive to arrest the group, Sanchez brings in a corrupt FIB team and reveals that he has been working with them. Merryweather forces then enter the confrontation. During the ensuing gunfight, Haines is wounded in the leg and shoots Sanchez in the head. Sanchez dies at the Kortz Center, and Dave later tells Michael that Sanchez can take much of the blame for the shootout.

Trivia

◆According to the Rush Casting Call, Andreas Sanchez's beta name was Miguel Gonzalez. It also mentions that he was to be "caught between a few mob bosses", but this is not something that was worked into the game.
◆There is unused data in the game that suggests Sanchez was a mobile phone contact for one or all of the protagonists.
◆He also has an unused alternative outfit, being the standard FIB blue jacket with 'FIB' decals uniform.
◆He has a lot in common with Jimmy Hernandez, a character from GTA San Andreas. Both are of Mexican descent, both work for law enforcement (Sanchez is working for the FIB, while Hernandez is working for C.R.A.S.H.), both work as minor partners of a main antagonist (Sanchez is a partner of Steve Haines, while Hernandez is working with Frank Tenpenny), who blackmails the protagonist into working for them (Trevor, Michael and Franklin for Andreas, and CJ for Jimmy), and both betray their patrons in the end, only to be almost immediately killed by them for that (Sanchez in The Wrap Up, and Hernandez in High Noon).
