Tanisha Jackson

Tanisha Jackson is Franklin Clinton's former girlfriend, raised in South Los Santos alongside Franklin and Lamar Davis. They attend the same high school and move within The Families' world, but Tanisha leaves Franklin before the story begins. His gang ties, and the death of her brother in gang violence, convince her that he cannot offer the stable life she wants.

After The Jewel Store Job, Tanisha re-enters the story through contact with Franklin. He keeps trying to restore their relationship through calls and emails, while she rejects his attempts and insists that she wants a dependable partner and a family. Franklin's move away from his old neighborhood and into a more expensive life does not change her mind.

During Lamar Down, Tanisha comes to Franklin's Vinewood Hills house with news that she is about to marry Jayden, a doctor. She also tells him that Stretch has arranged for the Ballas to kill Lamar. Franklin leaves to rescue Lamar from the sawmill, while Tanisha remains behind after asking him to help the friend she had known since childhood.

After Something Sensible, The Time's Come, or The Third Way, Tanisha calls Franklin once the conflict with Devin Weston and the other enemies has ended. She tells him that her wedding is the following day. Franklin accepts her decision and wishes her well, ending their final conversation on the phone.
