The Stretch is a full-size, four-door limousine in the Sedans class, built as the elongated counterpart to the Albany Washington. It carries four people and has dark window tint fitted as standard. Although it is an Albany vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V, the Dundreary Stretch script remains on its bodywork. The rear cabin retains the luxury interior design used by the Grand Theft Auto IV version, but its television is absent.
At $32,000, the Stretch is positioned as a limousine rather than an ordinary executive sedan. Its long body and formal layout make it suited to passenger transport and chauffeur-style appearances. The cabin gives rear-seat occupants the vehicle's main luxury feature, while the tinted glass keeps the interior less visible from outside.
Its performance is broadly similar to the Grand Theft Auto IV model, though reduced mass gives it somewhat improved handling. It still accelerates markedly slowly and has a slightly lower top speed, with higher gear changes limiting its pace. The long wheelbase makes corners difficult, so it is less agile than shorter sedans in the class.
Trivia
- ◆The bottom texture of the Stretch appears to not reach the rear end properly, having the usual textures for the rear axle almost where the rear doors are located. However, a duplicate is still used for where the actual wheels are located.
- ◆Despite being based on the Washington in GTA V, the Stretch is still identified in-game as a Dundreary model, suggesting that GTA IV's Stretch may have originally been cast for the role. However, with the lack of the Admiral appearing in GTA V, a stretched Washington was quickly used in its place, as suggested by the point above.
