About this vehicle
The Albany Washington is a four-door full-size executive sedan with room for four people. In Grand Theft Auto V, it carries over the rounded, formal shape of its GTA IV version, though its rear Washington badge, trunk aerial mount, crease and side trim are absent. Its smoothed grille and taillights with defined LED strips distinguish the revised model.
Its design is primarily based on the Lincoln Town Car. The taillights draw from the Ford Crown Victoria, while the Executive badging echoes Town Car Executive Series models. The headlights, indicators, grille, rear bumper, quad exhausts and front intake also combine cues from several American luxury sedans. It appears in single body colours and retains its dished, small-spoke wheels.
The Washington costs $15,000. It uses a V8 with a five-speed gearbox and a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. Its smooth, low-revving engine character suits its executive sedan role. Performance is broadly comparable to average sedans such as the Stanier, with a slightly improved top speed and handling over its GTA IV counterpart, but it is vulnerable to sustained gunfire and heavy crashes.

The vehicle's similarities to the Lincoln Town Car are a reference to Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.
- โThe Washington is one of the four cars to be named after a US President, the other three being the Jefferson, the Monroe and the Roosevelt.
- โThe description of the car on Southern San Andreas Super Autos references the popularity of the Lincoln Town Car among businesses such as airport taxi and limo services, and directly references it by name, labeling the Washington as an "iconic town car".
- โStrangely, even though the GTA V Stretch is based on the Washington, it is not made by the same manufacturer, as the Stretch is a Dundreary vehicle, whilst the Washington is an Albany vehicle.
- โThis is due to reused assets from the original GTA IV model, which is based upon the Dundreary Admiral.
