Asterope

The Karin Asterope is a four-door midsize sedan with room for four people. Its design draws on Japanese sedan styling and makes it a close relative of the Karin Sultan in build and manufacturer. It has a curved roof with a front sunroof, chrome trim along its bodywork and around its lamps, and twin exhaust outlets beneath the rear bumper. The cabin is shared with vehicles including the Schafter and Tailgater, while its seven-spoke wheels are also used by the Stratum.

The Asterope is common traffic in East Vinewood and East Los Santos. It can also appear at Big House Storage Inc. on Autopia Parkway near Los Santos International Airport, or in the car park beside Chico's Hypermarket in Mirror Park. In Grand Theft Auto Online, it is also found around Little Seoul and may appear after jobs or after a death inside Fort Zancudo. Southern San Andreas Super Autos sells it for $26,000, although it is removed from that website in the enhanced versions after the San Andreas Mercenaries update.

Against other sedans, the Asterope has a notably strong top speed and can keep pace with pricier cars such as the Zion and Jackal. Its acceleration and braking are typical for the class, and its handling remains respectable despite a soft suspension. That suspension produces body roll at speed and can bring on oversteer. The car withstands several hard frontal impacts before its engine gives out. During The Diamond Casino Heist, Eddie Toh supplies Asterope sedans as the initial getaway vehicles. A blue and pink example leaves the parking complex in Cleaning out the Bureau, but cannot be kept.
