Planning the Big Score

Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips meet Lester Crest at the Vanilla Unicorn to plan a robbery of the Union Depository. Lester lays out the scale of the job, and the four men weigh two possible ways to get the gold out of Los Santos. The discussion becomes a choice between entering the depository under cover or taking it by force.

For the subtle plan, Michael and Trevor will seize the Securicars bound for the Union Depository and hold their crews hostage. Posing as Gruppe 6 officers allows them to enter the building without raising an alarm. The gold will then be transferred into modified Gauntlets for the escape from the city.

For the obvious plan, Franklin will use a Cutter to reach the vault from underground while Michael creates a diversion at the front of the Union Depository. Trevor will use his helicopter to move the gold to a train. The crew must force its way through the operation instead of passing through its security.

They choose an approach and assign crew members to its roles. The subtle operation requires gunmen, drivers and a hacker, while the obvious operation needs drivers and gunmen. The meeting ends at the Vanilla Unicorn, with the selected preparation work set in motion.
