The Legendary Longnose Gar is a Legendary Fish in Red Dead Redemption 2, based on the longnose gar, Lepisosteus osseus. It is a rare fish and one of the game's thirteen Legendary Fish. Its estimated size exceeds fifty inches, and it weighs more than forty pounds.
It lives in the marshy swamps of Bayou Nwa in Lemoyne, north of Lakay and in the waters between Lakay and Lagras. Overcast weather brings more sightings of the fish. The Special Swamp Lure attracts it in these swamp waters.
The Legendary Longnose Gar can be caught on its own or during the Stranger mission "A Fisher of Fish." It is among the Legendary Fish sought as part of that mission.
