The Legendary Muskie is a rare Legendary Fish in Red Dead Redemption 2, based on Esox masquinongy. It belongs to the game's set of thirteen Legendary Fish rather than the ordinary fish species. Reports describe an exceptionally large muskie, said to measure around fifty inches and weigh more than thirty pounds.
It is found in New Hanover, in the Roanoke Ridge region around Van Horn Trading Post. The fish swims near the settlement's lighthouse, east of it along the water. This location places the Legendary Muskie on the coast beside Van Horn Trading Post rather than elsewhere in the region.
The Legendary Muskie is caught with a Special River Lure, with overcast weather reported to improve the chance of hooking it. It can be caught independently, or during the Stranger mission "A Fisher of Fish." Its use is as one of the Legendary Fish pursued and caught in the game.
