Legendary Wolf "Hotah" is a rare legendary wolf in Red Dead Redemption 2. Its larger build and brown and black coat distinguish it from the other wolves of the region. A carnivore, it feeds on deer and mountain goats, along with smaller prey including birds, beavers and fish.
Hotah ranges around Cotorra Springs in Grizzlies East, Ambarino. Unlike ordinary wolves, it is likely to ambush its quarry, howling before it charges. It can be hunted with a Bow and Poison Arrows or with a rifle, and it can also be killed by the impact of a running war horse. As with other legendary animals, it yields a clean pelt or skin regardless of the weapon used.
Killing Hotah provides the Legendary Wolf Heart, Legendary Wolf Pelt, Big Game Meat and a Legendary Wolf Carcass. Its materials can be used to make the Wolf Heart Trinket, the Legendary Cougar/Wolf Vest and the Legendary Wolf Batwing Chaps. The clothing items belong to The Beast Of Prey Garment Set.
