Laramie gang leader

By 1907, the unnamed leader commands the Laramie Gang in West Elizabeth. He works with the landowner Abel Atherton, who employs the gang to force David Geddes to sell Pronghorn Ranch. The leader's gang uses threats and violence to pressure Geddes and the people who work for him, treating the ranch as an obstacle between Atherton and the land he wants.

The leader arrives at Pronghorn Ranch with two Laramies and confronts Abe. He orders Abe to persuade Geddes to sell, warning that the ranch hands will begin dying if he refuses. To make the threat clear, he shoots near Abe's feet and says Abe will be the first victim. John Marston intervenes and calls the gang vermin. The leader swings at John, but John avoids the blow and beats him until Abigail Marston makes him stop. The leader promises to return before leaving with his men.

Days later, the Laramies raid Pronghorn Ranch at night. They kill a ranch worker, burn the stables and drive off the cattle. Geddes sends John, Abe and Tom after the herd at Hanging Dog Ranch, where the gang is hiding. After the cattle are recovered, John finds the leader in the ranch barn. They fight until the leader reaches for a Sawed-Off Shotgun. John disarms him, knocks him down and kills him with the shotgun.
