Player notes
Dutch sends Arthur to Caliga Hall in Scarlett Meadows to learn what he can about the Gray family. Arthur rides to the plantation's entrance, where the guards stop him. He says that Leigh Gray has allowed him to look around, and they admit him to the grounds.
At the house, Arthur questions a servant about the family. The servant directs him to Beau Gray, who is around the side of Caliga Hall. Arthur finds Beau there and hears about his relationship with Penelope Braithwaite, whose family is the Grays' rival.
Beau describes his love for Penelope and asks Arthur to take her a letter and a gift. Arthur is ready to leave, but Beau's offer of payment persuades him to accept the errand. Arthur remains at Caliga Hall with Beau.

Trivia
- โBeau's gift can be sold at a fence for $20. This gives minor negative honor and changes some of Penelope's dialogue, as she wonders why Beau didn't send a gift like he usually does.
- โOn approaching Caliga Hall, guards will be shooting a man running away and jumping over the fence. Arthur can lasso this man and hear, "nice rope work!" from one of the Grays. The guard will then pick up this man and walk away with him. The player can follow, but the guard will simply walk the grounds for a few minutes before coming to a stop at the stable, the captured suspected Braithwaithe still over his shoulder.
