El Canis Seminole es un SUV mediano de cuatro puertas con capacidad para cuatro ocupantes. Su diseño toma elementos de varios SUV reales, con un gran protector frontal de marco cromado, parrilla de malla, faros dobles y pasos de rueda anchos. Las molduras inferiores negras, las inscripciones "4x4 OFFROAD" en las puertas y la zaga sencilla y cuadrada le dan una apariencia todoterreno convencional. Comparte interior con el Cavalcade y el Granger, y sus llantas son las mismas del Primo.
En Grand Theft Auto V, los Seminole aparecen cerca de la aldea de Alamo Sea al norte de Sandy Shores, en Senora Way junto al RON Alternates Wind Farm y en la Great Ocean Highway. También circulan por las calles del norte de Sandy Shores, la Olympic Freeway y, con menor frecuencia, Paleto Bay. En Grand Theft Auto Online son habituales cerca de LSIA. Southern San Andreas Super Autos vendió el Seminole por $30,000 durante la actualización Heists, aunque fue retirado de la web en las versiones enhanced con la actualización San Andreas Mercenaries. Los Santos Customs lo vende por $3,000.
El Seminole es un SUV con tracción total, velocidad media dentro de su clase y una respuesta pesada y lenta en aceleración normal, aunque acelera antes que el Cavalcade y el Baller. Se mantiene estable a gran velocidad y no sufre sobreviraje ni subviraje marcados. Su suspensión semirrígida conserva la carrocería nivelada en curva, pero tiene recorrido suficiente para superficies irregulares, por lo que rinde bien fuera del asfalto. Un V6 de 4.0 litros produce un sonido suave, parecido al del Premier y el Primo.

- ◆The car's name is a play on its real-life counterpart, as both the Cherokee and the Seminole are Native American tribes in the southeastern United States.
- ◆The description on Southern San Andreas Super Autos mentions that the Seminole "was derived from a signature car model and encased in a flimsy bodywork". This may be a nod to the origins of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was built as a successor to the Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and used an unibody chassis (opposed to the body-on-frame construction).
- ◆This vehicle does not have reverse lights, just like many other cars in the game.
- ◆Strangely, the vehicle does not have any B-pillars, like the Serrano. This can be noticed quite easily when both doors from one side of the car are removed. This was most likely a developer's oversight.
- ◆In the center of the rear floor, there is a floor mat with the word DF8-90 printed on it, likely a reused asset from the car of the same name.
- ◆The Vehicles.meta file indicates that the Seminole was at one point able to tow small trailers. However, it lacks the tow hitch dummy to do so. The same applies to the Rancher XL and the BeeJay XL.
