Robbie Laidlaw es un delincuente escocés y parece ser el único superviviente de su familia. La oficina del sheriff de Scarlett Meadows lo busca por robo y fraude, y sospecha que agredió a un ayudante del sheriff. Tras el Capítulo 3, Arthur Morgan consigue el cartel de Laidlaw al capturar a Mark Johnson y hallar la fotografía de la familia Laidlaw en Old Harry Fen, Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne.
Arthur entra en la cabaña de Laidlaw en Old Harry Fen, donde un cómplice lo derriba. Arthur se libra de él, pero Robbie ya ha escapado al exterior. Corre hacia un campo cercano y le prende fuego, esperando que las llamas y el humo dificulten que Arthur lo siga. Arthur lo persigue a través del campo incendiado y logra atraparlo pese a su intento de huida.
Arthur lleva a Robbie Laidlaw a Rhodes y lo entrega al sheriff Thomas. Robbie queda encerrado en la oficina del sheriff. Arthur informa a Sheriff Thomas del fuego que Laidlaw provocó durante la persecución, por lo que el incendio provocado se suma a los delitos de los que ya se le acusa.

- ◆When bringing in Laidlaw, he can be heard attempting to bribe the player with "exotic photos" of "wee fairies", strongly implying he is in possession of early child pornography, which he might have created himself using the slave cabin and its underage captives.
- ◆If you don't inspect the Newspaper scrap on time, it won't be in your inventory and if you go to the cabin with John or Arthur again later, the envelope will be there but when you grab it, it will only give you a generic envelope that is not even in the inventory. If you go a third time, the envelope will be there, but you won't be able to pick it up and the message "You can't carry more of this item." will appear. If all this happens, you won't be able to do the bounty hunting mission.
- ◆If you acquire the family photograph and newspaper scrap before completing chapter 3 and capturing Mark Johnson, it may become impossible to trigger this bounty. Sometimes it can trigger after missions with Sadie Adler in the Epilogue, but the conditions for it are unclear.
