Player notes
Robbie Laidlaw is a Scottish outlaw and apparently the last surviving member of his family. The Scarlett Meadows Sheriff's Office wants him for theft and fraud, and suspects that he attacked a deputy. After Chapter 3, Arthur Morgan can obtain Laidlaw's wanted notice by capturing Mark Johnson and finding the Laidlaw family photograph at Old Harry Fen in Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne.
Arthur enters Laidlaw's cabin at Old Harry Fen, where one of Laidlaw's accomplices knocks him down. Arthur fights the man off, but Robbie has already fled outside. He runs into a nearby field and starts a fire, hoping the flames and smoke will keep Arthur from closing in. Arthur pursues him through the burning field and catches him despite the attempt to escape.
Arthur takes Robbie Laidlaw to Rhodes and hands him over to Sheriff Thomas. Robbie is locked up in the sheriff's office. Arthur tells Sheriff Thomas about the fire Laidlaw set during the pursuit, adding arson to the accusations already waiting for him.

- โEmmet Granger is mentioned to be a suspect in the Laidlaw family disappearance.
- โWhen bringing in Laidlaw, he can be heard attempting to bribe the player with "exotic photos" of "wee fairies", strongly implying he is in possession of early child pornography, which he might have created himself using the slave cabin and its underage captives.
- โIf you don't inspect the Newspaper scrap on time, it won't be in your inventory and if you go to the cabin with John or Arthur again later, the envelope will be there but when you grab it, it will only give you a generic envelope that is not even in the inventory. If you go a third time, the envelope will be there, but you won't be able to pick it up and the message "You can't carry more of this item." will appear. If all this happens, you won't be able to do the bounty hunting mission.
- โIf you acquire the family photograph and newspaper scrap before completing chapter 3 and capturing Mark Johnson, it may become impossible to trigger this bounty. Sometimes it can trigger after missions with Sadie Adler in the Epilogue, but the conditions for it are unclear.
- โAfter the mission he can be found and interacted with in the jail where he will berate the player.
