Robbie Laidlaw est un hors-la-loi écossais et apparemment le dernier membre survivant de sa famille. Le Scarlett Meadows Sheriff's Office le recherche pour vol et fraude, et le soupçonne d'avoir agressé un adjoint. Après Chapter 3, Arthur Morgan peut obtenir l'avis de recherche de Laidlaw en capturant Mark Johnson et en trouvant la photographie de la famille Laidlaw à Old Harry Fen, dans Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne.
Arthur entre dans la cabane de Laidlaw à Old Harry Fen, où l'un des complices de Laidlaw le fait tomber. Arthur se débarrasse de l'homme, mais Robbie s'est déjà enfui dehors. Il court vers un champ voisin et y met le feu, espérant que les flammes et la fumée empêcheront Arthur de le rattraper. Arthur le poursuit à travers le champ en feu et le capture malgré sa tentative de fuite.
Arthur emmène Robbie Laidlaw à Rhodes et le remet à Sheriff Thomas. Robbie est enfermé dans le bureau du shérif. Arthur informe Sheriff Thomas de l'incendie que Laidlaw a provoqué durant la poursuite, ajoutant l'incendie volontaire aux accusations qui l'attendent déjà.

- ◆When bringing in Laidlaw, he can be heard attempting to bribe the player with "exotic photos" of "wee fairies", strongly implying he is in possession of early child pornography, which he might have created himself using the slave cabin and its underage captives.
- ◆If you don't inspect the Newspaper scrap on time, it won't be in your inventory and if you go to the cabin with John or Arthur again later, the envelope will be there but when you grab it, it will only give you a generic envelope that is not even in the inventory. If you go a third time, the envelope will be there, but you won't be able to pick it up and the message "You can't carry more of this item." will appear. If all this happens, you won't be able to do the bounty hunting mission.
- ◆If you acquire the family photograph and newspaper scrap before completing chapter 3 and capturing Mark Johnson, it may become impossible to trigger this bounty. Sometimes it can trigger after missions with Sadie Adler in the Epilogue, but the conditions for it are unclear.
