Il peut également être obtenu plus tôt durant "Paying a Social Call" si un O'Driscoll désarme John pendant la fusillade, lui arrache le revolver et le laisse tomber. Le même résultat peut se produire dans "The Sheep and the Goats". Avant "Pouring Forth Oil I" et "Pouring Forth Oil III", John peut être tué à Horseshoe Overlook, ce qui fait tomber le revolver à ses côtés.

◆John most likely had this weapon throughout the entirety of his time in the gang, explaining its worn appearance. Additionally, he can be seen using it in 1899 when the player controls Arthur Morgan.

◆The revolvers used by Hosea Matthews look almost identical to this weapon.
