La Vapid Hotknife è una hot rod Muscle a due porte con spazio per due persone. In Grand Theft Auto V e Grand Theft Auto Online, il suo design si basa su una kit car con lo Speedstar Fender Package, a sua volta derivato da una 1933 Ford Model A Hot Rod pesantemente modificata. Il suo nome richiama anche il termine "hot rod".
La Hotknife presenta una griglia cromata, fari rotondi, parafanghi larghi e terminali di scarico montati lateralmente. Il cofano motore e i parafanghi sono accessori opzionali, perciò alcuni esemplari lasciano esposti il motore, i telai di supporto e i cablaggi. Compare con una verniciatura bicolore e un abitacolo derivato dalla Peyote, dotato di un grande quadrante analogico della strumentazione. Un V8 a singolo albero a camme con carburatore le conferisce un rumoroso rombo da muscle car.
Nel Grand Theft Auto V originale, i possessori della Collector's Edition ricevono una Hotknife nel garage di ciascun protagonista. Nelle versioni migliorate è venduta da Legendary Motorsport per $90,000, gratuitamente per i possessori della Collector's Edition, mentre la versione Expanded and Enhanced di Online la propone gratis. Accelerazione e velocità massima sono nella media per le auto Muscle, ma il forte sottosterzo, i freni deboli e la scarsa stabilità negli incidenti la rendono difficile da guidare nel traffico, nonostante una discreta resistenza alle deformazioni.
