El Vapid Hotknife es un hot rod Muscle de dos puertas y dos plazas. En Grand Theft Auto V y Grand Theft Auto Online, su diseño parte de un kit car con el Speedstar Fender Package, que a su vez deriva de un 1933 Ford Model A Hot Rod muy modificado. Su nombre también juega con la expresión "hot rod."
El Hotknife lleva una parrilla cromada, faros circulares, guardabarros anchos y tubos de escape laterales. La cubierta del motor y los guardabarros son extras opcionales, por lo que algunas unidades dejan a la vista el motor, los soportes y el cableado. Aparece con pintura bicolor y comparte el interior del Peyote, incluido un gran indicador analógico. Un V8 carburado de árbol de levas único le da un sonido de muscle car muy alto.
En la versión original de Grand Theft Auto V, los propietarios de la Collector's Edition reciben un Hotknife en el garaje de cada protagonista. En las versiones enhanced, Legendary Motorsport lo vende por $90,000 y lo entrega gratis a quienes tienen la Collector's Edition, mientras que la versión Expanded and Enhanced de Online lo ofrece sin coste. Su aceleración y velocidad punta son medias para Muscle, pero el subviraje extremo, los frenos deficientes y la poca estabilidad en choques lo vuelven difícil entre el tráfico.

- ◆When entering the Hotknife, the name of the vehicle at the bottom right of the screen does not display the manufacturer, despite the manufacturer being displayed on the car itself.
- ◆This has been fixed in the enhanced version, displaying as "Vapid Hotknife, Muscle".
- ◆If there are two players in the Hotknife, the driver's right shoulder will clip into the passenger's left shoulder due to lack of space.
- ◆As of the 1.16 patch, the Hotknife will be free to replace if it gets destroyed by any means.
- ◆However, for those who do not own the Collector's Edition, it will still be rendered unrecoverable.
- ◆The vehicle's pre-2019 "main" image on its Rockstar Games Social Club listing showed it with a missing hood and front fenders, but no bug catcher. This configuration is not the default and is unavailable as a mod option.
