O Cargo Plane é um monoplano de transporte com quatro motores da classe Planes, construído em torno de uma enorme fuselagem de asa alta e uma rampa traseira de carga funcional. Seu nariz arredondado também se abre como porta de carga. A aeronave é baseada no Antonov An-124, com motores semelhantes aos do B-52. Ela leva dois ocupantes e é o maior veículo controlável da série em volume total.

O porão de carga percorre toda a fuselagem, com roletes, plataformas de carga, caixas, redes e uma ponte rolante suspensa. Assentos decorativos para o pessoal ficam nas laterais, enquanto a cabine de pilotagem está acima do porão. Os quatro pods de turbofan duplos dão ao Cargo Plane boa aceleração e velocidade final comparável à do Jet. Ele é estável no ar e consegue planar por uma grande distância após perder os motores, mas sua enorme envergadura dificulta curvas fechadas. Precisa de uma área larga e plana para decolar e pousar, e é frágil ao atingir uma parede.

O Cargo Plane só aparece e pode ser usado durante missões. Em Minor Turbulence, Trevor sequestra um da Merryweather Security que transporta um carregamento de armas. Ele se recusa a pousar em Fort Zancudo, e dois P-996 LAZERs da US Air Force derrubam a aeronave. Quando ela cai em direção ao Alamo Sea, Trevor escapa pela porta traseira do compartimento de carga usando um paraquedas.

◆The Cargo Plane, unlike most controllable aircraft, has rotating turbines.
◆During the gunfight sequence in Minor Turbulence, the vehicle remains static while mid-air. If the game is paused, the plane interior can be seen on the map as a building. This is to prevent the player, other NPCs and props/vehicles from moving around while airborne.
◆When Trevor takes control of the Cargo Plane in Minor Turbulence, the radar's map will have a very high zoom level.
◆The wreckage of a Cargo Plane can be found lying at the bottom of the ocean, just off the western coast near Fort Zancudo, with a variety of weapons scattered among the debris. The plane wreck lies in shallow water, mainly situated on the very edge of a steep, rocky underwater cliff covered by coral reefs. The front section of the plane, including the nose and cockpit seems to have broken off and is resting further down in deeper waters at the very bottom off the deep end where the plane is situated. It is assumed that this is the result of a failed takeoff from Fort Zancudo. The placement of such aircraft is odd since the runway at Fort Zancudo is too tight to allow Cargo Planes to land or take-off there.
