A Del Lobo Gang reúne principalmente foras da lei, exilados e oportunistas mexicanos, embora americanos também façam parte do bando. O ressentimento deixado pela Guerra Mexicano-Americana alimenta sua hostilidade contra o governo dos Estados Unidos. O grupo aterroriza New Austin a partir de Thieves' Landing, sua base principal, e mantém esconderijos em Fort Mercer, Twin Rocks, Gaptooth Breach e Solomon's Folly. Seus crimes incluem roubos, extorsões e assassinatos, enquanto a epidemia de cólera deixa a região com pouca presença da lei.
Em 1898, o marechal Tom Davies envia o protagonista de Red Dead Online e Lee a Tall Trees em busca de Alfredo Montez. O grupo encontra e mata Jorge Montez, irmão de Alfredo, acreditando ter localizado o homem certo. Outros confrontos com Del Lobos em Van Horn Trading Post e num acampamento próximo levam à captura de Alfredo perto de Butcher Creek. Ele é levado para Valentine, onde Davies o executa sem julgamento antes que o bando consiga resgatá-lo. O protagonista, Davies, o xerife Curtis Malloy e os moradores de Valentine repelem o ataque, depois salvam Davies e o xerife Sam Freeman em Tumbleweed.
Carmela "La Muñeca" Montez assume o comando após a morte de Alfredo. Ela se esconde com seus homens em Hanging Dog Ranch, enquanto Barbarella Alcazar acampa com outros membros em Gaptooth Breach. As duas se tornam alvos de recompensa do protagonista de Red Dead Online. Em 1899, Arthur Morgan, ou John Marston, encontra Flaco Hernández e seus seguidores Del Lobo em Cairn Lodge, em Ambarino, durante a procura por pistoleiros. - ◆The Del Lobo Gang in several respects resembles the real-life Five Joaquins Gang. Similarly, it was perceived to have been led by predominantly Mexico-born men who were family members.
- ◆Del Lobo means 'of the wolf' in Spanish.

- ◆A newspaper article mentions how Del Lobos terrorize Valentine and Strawberry. While they can be seen assaulting Valentine in Red Dead Online during the story mission "Bring a Goddamn Posse", members of the gang can not be encountered near Strawberry.

- ◆A random conversation can be heard between Del Lobo members where some of them are thinking of heading back to Mexico and possibly working for the army, while some would opt to stay in the US.
- ◆The group of Del Lobos that the player encounters east and south of Armadillo have custom handguns and rifles with gold plated parts, ebony grips and expensive varnishes.
- ◆The Del Lobos are the only group of NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 known to throw dynamite and fire bottles at the player. These weapons can also be looted from their corpses.
