Chef ist der Crystal-Meth-Koch von Trevor Philips Enterprises, sein richtiger Name wird jedoch nie genannt. Er tritt in Grand Theft Auto V in Trevors Meth-Labor in Sandy Shores auf, wo Trevor die Los Santos Triads trifft. Nachdem Trevors frühere Konfrontation mit Ortega die Aztecas zum Labor führt, greift Chef an Trevors Seite zu den Waffen und hilft, die Angreifer abzuwehren. Er arbeitet als Teil von Trevors Operation mit Trevor, Ron Jakowski und Wade Hebert zusammen und wird von Anthony Cumia gesprochen.

Nach Blitz Play kontaktiert Chef Trevor und bietet ihm seine Dienste als Schütze an. Trevor kann ihn für The Paleto Score anheuern, bei dem Chef gemeinsam mit Michael De Santa, Trevor und dem Rest der Crew den Überfall auf die Blaine County Savings Bank in Paleto Bay durchzieht. Während der Flucht behauptet er sich und überlebt den Job. Nachdem die Crew sich von der Bank entfernt hat, erkennt Michael Trevor gegenüber seine Fähigkeiten an.

Chef kann auch für The Big Score angeheuert werden. Beim subtilen Vorgehen kann er als erster Schütze während des Union Depository-Überfalls das Gold bewachen, ohne etwas davon zu verlieren, oder als zweiter Schütze arbeiten, ohne Probleme zu verursachen. Beim offensichtlichen Vorgehen erfüllt er beide Schützenrollen zuverlässig und hilft der Crew, wenn er als zweiter Schütze eingesetzt wird, während der Flucht aus Los Santos gegen die Polizei zu kämpfen. Er bleibt nach den Raubüberfällen am Leben.

◆In the subtle approach of The Big Score, if he is placed as the first gunman, while he is loading the Gauntlets, he makes a little reference to the gold classification in the periodic table, saying, "Gold, Au, Atomic number: 79".
◆Chef probably believes Ron's conspiracy theory about lizard people taking the form of humans to work for the government as he shouts about the cops being lizard people if he is the second gunman for The Big Score - Obvious.
◆Unlike most of Trevor's associates, Chef doesn't seem to be afraid, or even intimidated by Trevor.
◆Chef will sometimes be found on the second floor of Liquor Ace outside of missions as a normal pedestrian. If interacted with, the player will use a default greeting. He can also be killed, but will always respawn.
◆He doesn't talk to the player in response, despite knowing Trevor.
◆Even though he's unlocked as a gunman from "The Paleto Score" onwards, he's not available to hire for The Bureau Raid, probably out of loyalty to Trevor.
◆Chef does not wear his glasses during heist missions.
◆Simply being known as Chef is maybe a reference to the character Phil "The Chef" Bushey from Stephen King's novel Under The Dome, as Bushey also cooks and samples his own batches of meth in the novel.
◆Chef is also very similar to from the / seasons of .
◆They are both the cooks in their respective meth empires while occasionally confronting the competition, which happen to both be Hispanic gangs (in Chef's case it was TPI and the Aztecas, while in Walter's it was and ).
◆Both associate themselves with violent sociopaths who help get their product out (In Chef's case it was Trevor, while in Walt's it was Tuco).
◆Both keep meth in RV's.
◆Both are also bald, wear glasses and have facial hair.
◆The main difference of the two is that Chef has done meth, while Walter only cooks.
◆If Trevor Philips Industries is replayed, Chef will always act as if Trevor spared Ortega in Mr. Philips, even if Trevor killed him in said mission.
◆When changing Chef's outfit in Director Mode, there exists a version of him wearing both the Bugstars exterminator outfit used in the smart approach for The Jewel Store Job and the firefighter outfit from the fire crew approach for The Bureau Raid, despite the fact that Chef cannot be selected as a gunman for either heist.
