Player notes

At Michael's House in Rockford Hills, Michael falls asleep in front of a film and wakes to find Jimmy home. Jimmy apologizes for drugging him, lashes out at his father over his own problems, then admits that he misses him. He tells Michael that Amanda is unhappy with Fabien. Michael decides to bring the family back together, and he and Jimmy drive to Bean Machine.

Amanda is with Fabien at Bean Machine. Fabien belittles her and insults Jimmy, provoking Michael, but Amanda is the one who tells Michael to hit him. Michael takes a nearby customer's Fruit laptop and smashes it into Fabien's face. Amanda agrees that she misses Michael too, provided they attend counselling. She takes the injured Fabien away and says she will meet them at Dr. Isiah Friedlander's office.

Michael and Jimmy head to Blazing Tattoo on Vinewood Boulevard for Tracey. They overhear Lazlow Jones offering Tracey another appearance on Fame or Shame in exchange for sex. Michael forces Lazlow into a tattoo chair, pierces his nose, ear and brow, tattoos a penis on his chest or back, and cuts off his ponytail. He makes Lazlow promise Tracey the appearance without conditions. Tracey leaves with Michael and Jimmy.

At Dr. Friedlander's office in Pacific Bluffs, Amanda joins Michael, Jimmy and Tracey for family therapy. Michael and Amanda soon resume arguing while their children sit through the session. Outside, Amanda agrees to return home and try again. Michael drives the family back to Michael's House, where Amanda warns that she will move into the Rockford Hills hotel if she finds dead bodies, cheap women or Trevor Philips there. The perspective then switches to Trevor, drunk and unconscious in his underwear on a small island east of Palomino Highlands, surrounded by dead Lost members.

Trivia

  • โ—†The title of this mission is a reference to Reuniting the Families, a mission in GTA San Andreas, despite the fact that the two missions do not bear much similarity.
  • โ—†During the cutscene in Dr. Friedlander's office, the Dignity yacht can be seen in the background, however, after the cutscene, the boat will disappear.
  • โ—†After Michael turns the tv off with the remote with his hand, he is basically seen without it. This may be a glitch when he turn it off with his hand.
  • โ—†After Amanda and Fabien are leaving Bean Machine, the two chairs that they are sitting in suddenly disappears however it reppears after the cutscene ended.
  • โ—†On the drive home, Jimmy and Tracey hint that Amanda's sexual history includes Fabien LaRouche, Kyle Chavis, "the juice guy", "the dog walker", Jimmy's third-grade teacher, "the trash guy", Michael's proctologist, Jesse, Andy Moon and maybe even Dr. Friedlander.
  • โ—†At the beginning of the mission cutscene when Michael turns on the TV, the film he is watching is made within Rockstar Games' 2011 game , as demonstrated by the vehicle and protagonist walking down the stairs.
  • โ—†Michael tells Jimmy that he will "probably be dead in a few weeks". This foreshadows ending B of the game.
  • โ—†Each member of the De Santa Family will bleed out if shot even once by any weapon during this mission.
  • โ—†Despite the mission ending with Tracey being allowed to compete on Fame or Shame, there is no further storyline gameplay involving this story thread; the eventual outcome of her participation (she is defeated in the audience vote by a trio of masturbating monkeys) is only learned via Weazel News reports and if the player watches the Fame or Shame broadcast on TV (during which Tracey sings a song about her father and Lazlow references his encounter with Michael).
  • โ—†If any NPCs are killed, or if the player gains a wanted level, the family will react and scold Michael.
  • โ—†Before Michael starts piercing Lazlow's body parts, Lazlow will scream "you're not going to give me a Prince Albert, are you?". Prince Albert is a male genital piercing.
  • โ—†When piercing Lazlow, he will react in the following ways. For piercing his brow, Lazlow will say, "Owww! Are you poppin' a fuckin' tent over here? You fuckin' psycho." For piercing his nose, he will be all, "Ahh, you made me a pouty fuckin' hipster? Ah, oohh." For piercing his ear, Lazlow will say, "Ah! You fuckin' prick. Jesus."
  • โ—†There are some missable conversations in this mission. These conversations are usually heard if Michael does anything bad. A video of them can be found .
