Accepting the Truth

Michael arrives at Ice Planet Jewelry on Clinton Avenue in Downtown Vinewood, opposite Pitchers, and enters through the green door. Inside, the premises are bare except for stacks of cardboard boxes. He has only a moment to inspect the strange setting before Marnie Allen comes in behind him. She welcomes him on behalf of the Epsilon Program and begins explaining the path that has brought her there.

Marnie says Epsilon helped her leave drugs behind and describes its research to Michael. She promises that the Program can provide him with educational tools, but says he must first make a $5,000 donation. Michael balks at the price. Marnie presses him to consider what enlightenment is worth, treating the payment as the cost of access to Epsilon's knowledge.

Tom enters the room and joins Marnie in urging Michael to give money to the Program. He declares that he would offer every penny he has earned. Marnie and Tom leave Ice Planet Jewelry together through the front entrance, calling "Kifflom" back to Michael. Michael remains among the boxes in the Downtown Vinewood building.
