Player notes
Michael meets Marnie Allen and actor Jimmy Boston at a farm in Grapeseed. Marnie tells him that he is no longer called Zolag, but Zondar. Jimmy and Marnie hand him a detector that they claim can locate extraterrestrial material, then send him out into the surrounding fields to search for an alien artifact.
The detector reacts to an old television set. Michael asks Marnie whether it is the object they need, but she insists that he must decide for himself. He follows the device to a metal box near a tree stump, only to receive the same answer when he asks if it is the artifact.
Michael continues across the farm and finds an old work boot near Jimmy's blue Bison. This time, he declares himself 110 percent certain that the boot is the alien object. Marnie accepts his conclusion and says that his next step with the Epsilon Program requires a $10,000 donation. Michael remains at the Grapeseed farm with Marnie and Jimmy.
Trivia
- โThe detector used in this mission bears a strong resemblance to the P.K.E. Meter, a device used in the Ghostbusters franchise to detect ghosts. Specifically, it shares many features with the version seen in the Real Ghostbusters animated series (T-shaped antenna at the top with waggling arms, readout with dials and buttons below it, dial(s) on the side), but with a more streamlined, modern appearance.
- โAlso, the same detector model can be seen in Far Out, where it is being used by Omega.
- โWhile the detector has a different purpose, it is more directly a reference to the E-meter device used by the organization spoofed in these missions.
- โThe name of the gold medal objective is a reference to the famous phrase said across the Star Wars franchise.
- โIt is possible to obtain the unique baby blue Bravado Bison from this mission. After the mission passes, Marnie and Jimmy Boston will get in the Bison and drive away, after which the player must run after them. When the Bison reaches Grapeseed Avenue, both of the occupants will despawn, leaving the vehicle empty in the middle of the road. After this happens, the player can simply get in the vehicle and store it in a garage.
