The Legendary Sockeye Salmon is a Legendary Fish in Red Dead Redemption 2, based on the sockeye salmon, Oncorhynchus nerka. Its thick body and bright red colouring distinguish it from the longer, greyish-red muskies that also swim in Lake Isabella. Reports place it at around fifty inches long and more than fifty pounds in weight.
It lives exclusively in the freezing waters of Lake Isabella, in Grizzlies West, Ambarino. The fish appears in a limited area of the lake, around its eastern side on the ice. Among the fish in the game, it is the heaviest catch except for the Legendary Channel Catfish.
The Legendary Sockeye Salmon is one of the 13 Legendary Fish. It can be caught on its own or during the Stranger mission A Fisher of Fish. Special Lake Lures attract it, and these become available from the Bait Shop in Lagras after A Fisher of Fish has begun.
