Player notes
Arthur reaches the Bastille Saloon in Saint Denis, where a man puts a gun to his head before revealing himself as Dutch. Dutch has been looking for information on Angelo Bronte and sends Arthur inside to make enquiries. The bartender refuses to discuss Bronte, but another patron tells Arthur that a group of street urchins behind the saloon may know something.
Arthur finds the children in the alley and pays two of them five dollars to show him what they know. They lead him through Saint Denis, but Cleet slips behind Arthur, takes his satchel and flees. Arthur pursues him through the streets, losing sight of the boy more than once before picking up the trail again near the market.
Cleet draws Arthur into an alley, where several other urchins are waiting, some with weapons. Their leader warns Arthur that Bronte knows the gang has been asking questions, then identifies Bronte's home and returns the satchel. Arthur meets Dutch and tells him where Bronte lives. They arrange to meet John across from the house later.
Trivia
- โDuring the chase sequence, the "Whistle Horse" feature is disabled, leaving the player unable to ride their horse unless it was hitched nearby before the chase starts. Even if the horse was left nearby it will walk away during the mission, making it less convenient to attempt to reach during the chase.
- โIt is possible to have the Satchel removed after the mission. All the player has to do is refrain from catching Cleet and skip the following cutscene.
- โEven if the player has a different satchel equipped, Arthur's default satchel will still be shown during the cutscene with the street urchin gang.
- โThe leader of the street urchins bears some resemblance to Jimmy Hopkins, the protagonist in Bully, another title made by Rockstar Games.
