The Litchfield Repeater is a repeating rifle chambered for Repeater Ammo. It holds sixteen rounds and can carry up to 300 rounds of ammunition. Among the repeating rifles, it delivers the highest damage and has a large capacity, making it suited to hunting and medium-range fights where sustained fire is needed to clear an area.

Its power comes at the cost of handling. The Litchfield fires and reloads more slowly than the other repeaters, and its accuracy is the weakest among those sold by gunsmiths. Shots become less dependable while moving or when aimed at distant targets, so it performs best at medium range rather than in fast-moving or long-range exchanges.

Trivia

◆The rifle is based on the 1860 Henry repeating Rifle, but has a bigger loop lever. This particular model is based upon the prototype for the aforementioned rifle, which was gifted to United States President Abraham Lincoln—who personally tested the weapon's effectiveness—by the New Haven Arms Company in 1862, with the intent to influence Lincoln to adopt the rifle as standard issue for the US Army during the American Civil War. He had deemed the rifle to be too heavy and ineffective, though he did keep it for personal use. The real-world rifle is currently on display in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
