Carbine Repeater

The Carbine Repeater is a repeating rifle in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online. Also called the Buck Carbine, it holds seven rounds in its stock-mounted tube magazine and uses Repeater Ammo. It accepts Regular, High Velocity, Split Point, Express and Explosive varieties. Its iron sights suit close and medium-range shooting, while a scope can be fitted for marksman use. The rifle is used for hunting and for fights at medium distance.

Arthur Morgan receives the Carbine Repeater free during "Old Friends" in the opening tutorial missions. After that mission, every gunsmith sells it for $90, and it can also be taken from slain people encountered in the world. In Red Dead Online, the protagonist is given one at the start of the game. It can also be ordered through the Handheld Catalog and collected from a horse, a Post Office or Camp.

The Carbine Repeater is built as a balanced repeater rather than a specialist weapon. It has medium damage, a solid firing rate and better accuracy than a standard pistol. Among repeaters, its damage is second only to the Litchfield Repeater, but its seven-round capacity is lower than the Lancaster Repeater and Litchfield Repeater. The tube magazine reloads all seven rounds at once, giving it one of the fastest reloads in the game.
