Eagle Flies, el segundo hijo del jefe Wapiti Rains Fall, ya ha perdido a su madre y a su hermano a manos del Ejército de Estados Unidos antes de que su pueblo quede recluido en la reserva de Grizzlies East. Cuando la banda de Van der Linde abandona Colter rumbo a Horseshoe Overlook, observa su marcha desde un risco junto a Rains Fall y Paytah. Más tarde acompaña a su padre a la fiesta del alcalde Henri Lemieux en Saint Denis, donde Arthur Morgan lo conoce.
Eagle Flies y Rains Fall explican a Arthur y Evelyn Miller que el Ejército quiere expulsar a los Wapiti para que Leviticus Cornwall extraiga petróleo de sus tierras. Arthur acepta conseguir pruebas. Cerca de Heartland Oil Fields, Eagle Flies le indica cómo entrar en la refinería de Cornwall dentro de un carro. Arthur roba los documentos, pero queda atrapado al salir. Eagle Flies provoca una explosión y combate junto a Arthur hasta que ambos escapan. Le paga, esperando que los papeles sirvan a su pueblo.
Eagle Flies llega después a Beaver Hollow con Charles Smith, tras la confiscación de los caballos de la tribu por el Ejército. Dutch van der Linde acepta recuperarlos, y Arthur y Charles se unen. Viajan en canoa hasta el ferry, reducen a los guardias, sueltan los caballos y los devuelven a tierra. Dutch lleva entonces a Eagle Flies a tender una emboscada a soldados en un valle. Los refuerzos del Ejército los superan, Paytah resulta herido y Eagle Flies es capturado y trasladado a Fort Wallace.
Arthur y Charles sacan a Eagle Flies de Fort Wallace y lo llevan río abajo en una canoa antes de devolverlo con Rains Fall. Poco después, Eagle Flies reúne a jóvenes guerreros Wapiti en Beaver Hollow y ataca Heartland Oil Fields, pese a las súplicas de su padre. Arthur, Charles y Sadie Adler los siguen. En la batalla, Eagle Flies salva a Arthur cuando Dutch lo abandona, pero Colonel Favours le dispara. Arthur mata a Favours y lleva a Eagle Flies a la reserva con Charles y Paytah. Eagle Flies muere en brazos de Rains Fall.

- ◆Both are acquaintances of the protagonist during their first meeting and later mutual respect due to American civilization ruining their life and society. For Eagle Flies, he despises the US Army for their cruel treatment of Wapiti Tribe and respected Arthur for serving his tribe. For Nastas, both he and John cooperate to stop the young tribe from joining Dutch's Gang as it will lead to further destruction for his tribe. Nastas is angry that the hunters only hunt buffalo for sport which leads to near extinction of the buffalo, and he claims that the US government had no respect for land as they cut their trees and used their land for industrialization.
- ◆Both are sympathized with by protagonists about their tribes at conflict with the US government.
- ◆Both tried to help their own tribe in different ways. Eagle Flies prefers violence and vengeance against the US Army for attempting to steal their horses and their medicine for smallpox, and especially imprisoning him in Fort Wallace after Colonel Favours violated the treaty that they signed upon themselves. Nastas prefers nonviolence as he attempts to save his tribe from joining Dutch's gang by cooperating with the US government, similar to how Chief Rains Fall tried to save his tribe from being annihilated by the US Army by making a peace agreement with the US government unconditionally, only to be violated by Colonel Favours and Leviticus Cornwall. Nastas does use violence only to defend himself; as John and Nastas venture themselves to a mining area in Tall Trees looking for a way in to scout Fort Cochinay, he shoots an insane miner after getting injured in the arm with a knife.
- ◆Both of them ultimately die under tragic circumstances: Enepay shoots Nastas in the head, while Colonel Favours shoots Eagle Flies in the abdomen, and he eventually succumbs to his wounds after he arrives at the Wapiti Reservation.
