Eagle Flies, il secondo figlio del capo Wapiti Rains Fall, ha già perso sua madre e suo fratello per mano della U.S. Army prima che i Wapiti vengano confinati nella loro riserva nei Grizzlies East. Quando la banda di Van der Linde lascia Colter diretta a Horseshoe Overlook, osserva il loro viaggio da una scogliera insieme a Rains Fall e Paytah. In seguito accompagna suo padre alla festa del sindaco Henri Lemieux a Saint Denis, dove Arthur Morgan lo incontra per la prima volta.
Eagle Flies e Rains Fall spiegano ad Arthur e Evelyn Miller che l'esercito intende allontanare i Wapiti affinché Leviticus Cornwall possa trivellare alla ricerca di petrolio. Arthur accetta di aiutarli a ottenere delle prove. Presso gli Heartland Oil Fields, Eagle Flies lo conduce nella raffineria di Cornwall su un carro. Arthur ruba i documenti, ma rimane intrappolato mentre cerca di uscire. Eagle Flies provoca un'esplosione all'esterno, poi combatte al fianco di Arthur finché non riescono a fuggire. Paga Arthur, sperando che i documenti possano aiutare la causa dei Wapiti.
Eagle Flies arriva in seguito a Beaver Hollow con Charles Smith dopo che l'esercito ha sequestrato i cavalli della tribù. Dutch van der Linde accetta di recuperarli, con Arthur e Charles che si uniscono a lui. Prendono una canoa fino al traghetto, sopraffanno le guardie, liberano i cavalli e li riportano a riva. Dutch coinvolge quindi Eagle Flies in un piano per tendere un'imboscata ai soldati in una valle. I rinforzi dell'esercito li sopraffanno, Paytah viene ferito ed Eagle Flies viene catturato e portato a Fort Wallace.
Arthur e Charles liberano Eagle Flies da Fort Wallace e lo portano lungo il fiume su una canoa, prima di ricondurlo da Rains Fall. Poco dopo, Eagle Flies porta giovani guerrieri Wapiti a Beaver Hollow e guida un assalto agli Heartland Oil Fields nonostante le suppliche di suo padre. Arthur, Charles e Sadie Adler li seguono. Durante la battaglia, Eagle Flies salva Arthur dopo che Dutch lo ha lasciato indietro, ma Colonel Favours gli spara. Arthur uccide Favours e riporta Eagle Flies alla riserva con Charles e Paytah. Eagle Flies muore tra le braccia di Rains Fall.

- ◆Both are acquaintances of the protagonist during their first meeting and later mutual respect due to American civilization ruining their life and society. For Eagle Flies, he despises the US Army for their cruel treatment of Wapiti Tribe and respected Arthur for serving his tribe. For Nastas, both he and John cooperate to stop the young tribe from joining Dutch's Gang as it will lead to further destruction for his tribe. Nastas is angry that the hunters only hunt buffalo for sport which leads to near extinction of the buffalo, and he claims that the US government had no respect for land as they cut their trees and used their land for industrialization.
- ◆Both are sympathized with by protagonists about their tribes at conflict with the US government.
- ◆Both tried to help their own tribe in different ways. Eagle Flies prefers violence and vengeance against the US Army for attempting to steal their horses and their medicine for smallpox, and especially imprisoning him in Fort Wallace after Colonel Favours violated the treaty that they signed upon themselves. Nastas prefers nonviolence as he attempts to save his tribe from joining Dutch's gang by cooperating with the US government, similar to how Chief Rains Fall tried to save his tribe from being annihilated by the US Army by making a peace agreement with the US government unconditionally, only to be violated by Colonel Favours and Leviticus Cornwall. Nastas does use violence only to defend himself; as John and Nastas venture themselves to a mining area in Tall Trees looking for a way in to scout Fort Cochinay, he shoots an insane miner after getting injured in the arm with a knife.
- ◆Both of them ultimately die under tragic circumstances: Enepay shoots Nastas in the head, while Colonel Favours shoots Eagle Flies in the abdomen, and he eventually succumbs to his wounds after he arrives at the Wapiti Reservation.
