Upon learning that Eagle Flies has been captured by the army, Arthur and Charles infiltrate Fort Wallace to rescue him.

Arthur Morgan encontra Charles Smith na Wapiti Indian Reservation depois que Eagle Flies é capturado pelo Exército. A pedido de Charles, Arthur entra na tenda de Rains Fall. O chefe teme pelo filho, chama Eagle Flies de imprudente, mas deixa claro que o ama. Apesar das objeções de Rains Fall, Arthur decide resgatá-lo e volta para Charles. Os dois cavalgam por Cumberland Forest em direção a Fort Wallace e cruzam o Dakota River no caminho.

Charles conta que deixou canoas preparadas para a fuga e condena a forma como Dutch explora o conflito dos Wapiti. Arthur revela que está morrendo. Charles diz que saber disso lhe dá tempo para acertar as contas com a própria vida. Perto de Fort Wallace, eles deixam os cavalos e esperam a noite cair. Os dois seguem furtivamente pela muralha, eliminam guardas em silêncio e usam uma corda para entrar no forte. Eles avançam pelos arredores até uma torre, onde Arthur atira em uma lanterna para provocar um incêndio e afastar os soldados da prisão.

Charles mata o guarda da prisão, e Arthur pega as chaves para libertar Eagle Flies. O alarme toca quando eles saem do bloco de celas, e os soldados de Fort Wallace abrem fogo. Arthur, Charles e Eagle Flies explodem uma parte fraca da muralha, recuperam os cavalos e cavalgam até o rio enquanto são perseguidos. Depois de eliminar os soldados junto às canoas de Charles, eles descem o Dakota River. Na margem, Eagle Flies avisa que Colonel Favours responderá ao resgate com guerra. Charles leva Eagle Flies de volta a Wapiti, e Arthur fica à beira do rio.

Curiosidades

  • ◆After freeing Eagle Flies, players will automatically be equipped with the bow to the shoulder. If players already carry the bow using the long-arm back slot, it will be switched to the long-arm shoulder slot.
  • ◆While infiltrating Fort Wallace, a pair of soldiers can be heard commenting on how boring it is to be guarding the fort for Colonel Favours instead of serving in the Philippines.
  • ◆While sneaking through the fort, Arthur can preemptively shoot the lantern before Charles gives him the order. After which, Charles may use his sawed-off shotgun to kill a soldier, which would oddly not attract any attention from the other soldiers.
  • ◆The player as Arthur can use the Dynamite Arrow as an alternative method to destroy the wall to escape with Charles and Eagle Flies, if they have found/bought the recipe pamphlet and crafted the arrow in question. Regular Dynamite works as well, as they can just place it on the wall and ignite.
  • ◆Toward the end of the mission, Charles tells Arthur, "In a way, you were lucky", a line the latter remembers during his final ride in the "Red Dead Redemption" mission if his Honor is high.
