В Beecher's Hope приходит телеграмма от Bonnie MacFarlane. Abigail не умеет читать и просит John прочесть ее вслух. Bonnie сообщает, что вредители уничтожили урожай на MacFarlane's Ranch и ей срочно нужна кукуруза. Abigail замечает, что Uncle запустил мешки с кукурузой в Beecher's Hope, поэтому они остались единственными припасами, которые не забрали, пока семья отсутствовала. - ◆In the cutscene in which Amos passes Bonnie when heading to the General Store, he greets her by saying "Ma'am". However the subtitles say "Howdy, miss".
- ◆This was fixed in the Game of the Year Edition.
- ◆Instead of taking the marked route through Thieves Landing, the player can drive the wagon past The Pacific Union Railroad Camp and drive through the river at Montana Ford and make to Bonnie's ranch in half the time.
- ◆John's line "Bill, Javier, Dutch. They're all dead. It don't get more over than that." confirms Javier Escuella's death even if John spares him in "The Gates of El Presidio", implying that he was indeed executed for his crimes sometime before this mission.

- ◆On the way to the MacFarlane's Ranch, Abigail tells John, "A family that left you for dead. You knew the truth, John, and they hated you for it," referring back to his involvement with the gang before their departure. This moment echoes when John returned to camp in the prequel, determined to confront Dutch and the gang in "Red Dead Redemption".
