يصل Michael De Santa إلى Darnell Bros. في La Mesa للقاء Lester Crest. يخبره Lester بأن عملية Union Depository معلقة لأن Trevor Philips متوار عن الأنظار بعد محنته مع Triads. ثم يصل Dave Norton وSteve Haines بمطلب خاص بهما. بدأت أدلة على تصرفات Haines غير القانونية تظهر داخل FIB، ويحتاج Haines إلى Michael لتدميرها. في المقابل، يعد Haines بمحو ملفات Michael لدى FIB. لا يقبل Michael إلا بعد أن يصر على أن تكون هذه آخر مهمة ينفذها لصالحهما.

- ◆While waiting for the janitor to leave, one of Lester's comments, "This is not the car we're looking for", may be a reference to a famous line from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope ("These are not the droids you're looking for.")
- ◆If Michael honks his horn while tailing Molina, Lester will chastise Michael for this, warning him that it could attract Molina's attention. Despite this, the mission will not fail.
- ◆The mission was changed in many ways during its development.
- ◆Originally, the mission was supposed to be done by Michael, Steve, and Dave, instead of Michael and Lester, according to cut game dialogue.
- ◆Michael was originally supposed to stealthily kill Harvey while he watches TV on the couch. As a result of this change, the cutscene in which Michael meets him appears to be somewhat rushed, as Harvey barely questions why Michael randomly walks into his apartment, and he begins filling the bag with his clothing before he knows what Michael even wants.
- ◆When Michael gets into his car after taking Molina's ID and overalls, the radio will automatically be tuned into Space 103.2 and "Tonight" by Kleer will always play.
