Cleaning Out The Bureau

Michael De Santa arrives at Darnell Bros. in La Mesa to meet Lester Crest. Lester tells him that the Union Depository job is on hold because Trevor Philips is keeping out of sight after his ordeal with the Triads. Dave Norton and Steve Haines then arrive with a demand of their own. Evidence of Haines's illegal conduct is surfacing inside the FIB, and Haines needs Michael to destroy it. In exchange, Haines promises to erase Michael's FIB files. Michael accepts only after insisting that this will be his last job for them.

Michael drives Lester to the FIB building, where Lester explains that they need a janitor's identity to get inside. He has selected Harvey Molina. They wait at the parking garage exit and watch the vehicles leaving, then spot Molina's car and follow him to his apartment on Las Lagunas Boulevard in West Vinewood. Michael goes inside after Molina. He secures the janitor's ID and overalls, leaving Molina to take a paid absence from work.

Michael returns with Lester to Darnell Bros., where Franklin Clinton is waiting in the office. Lester says the crew also needs paper architectural plans for the FIB building, since he cannot obtain them through its systems. The plans belong to the building's designer, Chip Peterson, whose office is in Backlot City. Franklin agrees to track Peterson and obtain the blueprints. Michael, Lester and Franklin remain at the garment factory.
