يمثل الذئب Canis lupus في Red Dead Redemption 2، ويظهر بأشكال Gray Wolf وTimber Wolf وLegendary Wolf. وهو من الكلبيات الكبيرة الرشيقة، يتميز بخطم عريض وأذنين قصيرتين وجسم قصير وذيل طويل. وبالمقارنة مع القيوط والثعالب، فهو أكبر وأثقل، وله أرجل أطول تتيح له التحرك بسرعة عبر الثلوج العميقة.
تعيش الذئاب وتتنقل وتصطاد ضمن قطعان، يتراوح عدد أفرادها عادة بين ثلاثة وستة. وهي تفترس الأيائل الكبيرة والموظ والظباء والماعز الجبلي والقنادس والحيوانات الأصغر، كما تقتات على الجيف. قد يسبق عواء القطيع اندفاعه للهجوم، بينما تئن الذئاب التي تفقد معظم أفرادها ثم تفر هاربة. وتنشط أكثر عند الفجر والغسق، ويمكن العثور عليها في Aurora Basin وHanging Dog Ranch.
