El Lobo representa a Canis lupus en Red Dead Redemption 2 y aparece como Lobo gris, Lobo maderero y Lobo legendario. Es un cánido grande y esbelto, de hocico ancho, orejas cortas, torso corto y cola larga. Frente a coyotes y zorros, es más grande y pesado, y sus patas más largas le permiten desplazarse con rapidez por la nieve profunda.
Los lobos viven, viajan y cazan en manadas de tres a seis animales por lo general. Cazan alces, uapitíes, ciervos, cabras montesas, castores y presas menores, y también comen carroña. El aullido de una manada puede anunciar su carga, mientras que los supervivientes gimen y huyen al perder a la mayoría del grupo. Son más activos al amanecer y al anochecer, y se encuentran en Aurora Basin y Hanging Dog Ranch.
Un lobo abatido proporciona Wolf Fur, Wolf Heart, Big Game Meat y Wolf Carcass. Su carne se usa como alimento, y las pieles y los corazones se emplean en la elaboración de objetos.
