Il Wolf rappresenta il Canis lupus in Red Dead Redemption 2 e appare nelle varianti Gray Wolf, Timber Wolf e Legendary Wolf. È un canide grande e snello, con muso largo, orecchie corte, corpo corto e coda lunga. Rispetto a coyote e volpi, è più grande e pesante, con zampe più lunghe che gli permettono di muoversi rapidamente nella neve profonda.
I lupi vivono, viaggiano e cacciano in branchi, solitamente composti da tre a sei esemplari. Cacciano alci, moose, cervi, capre di montagna, castori e animali più piccoli, e si nutrono anche di carcasse. L'ululato di un branco può precedere la sua carica, mentre i lupi che perdono la maggior parte dei loro membri guaiscono e fuggono. Sono più attivi all'alba e al tramonto e possono essere trovati ad Aurora Basin e Hanging Dog Ranch.
Un lupo ucciso fornisce Wolf Fur, un Wolf Heart, Big Game Meat e una Wolf Carcass. La sua carne viene usata come cibo, mentre pellicce e cuori vengono impiegati nel crafting. Il Trapper usa una pelle di lupo perfetta per il Wilderness Vest, il Wolf Coat e il Legendary Moose Hunting Jacket.
