Волк представляет Canis lupus в Red Dead Redemption 2 и встречается в вариантах Gray Wolf, Timber Wolf и Legendary Wolf. Это крупный, стройный представитель псовых с широкой мордой, короткими ушами, коротким туловищем и длинным хвостом. По сравнению с койотами и лисами он больше и тяжелее, а длинные ноги помогают ему быстро двигаться по глубокому снегу.
Волки живут, перемещаются и охотятся стаями, обычно по три-шесть животных. Они добывают elk, moose, оленей, mountain goat, бобров и мелкую добычу, а также питаются падалью. Вой стаи может предшествовать атаке. Если большая часть стаи погибает, оставшиеся волки скулят и убегают. Они особенно активны на рассвете и в сумерках, встречаясь у Aurora Basin и Hanging Dog Ranch.
