Leopold Strauss wants the player to collect two debts, one from J. John Weathers and another from Arthur Londonderry.

يرسل Leopold Strauss، Arthur Morgan من Beaver Hollow لتحصيل قرضين مستحقين. يتجه Arthur أولاً إلى Three Sisters، حيث يعترف J. John Weathers بأنه لا يملك مالاً ويعرض بدلاً منه المؤن الموجودة في عربته. وقبل أن يتمكن Arthur من تقرير ما سيأخذه، يصل جنود من US Army بحثاً عن Weathers بتهمة الفرار من الخدمة. ينضم Arthur إلى Weathers في صدهم، فيما تشتعل العربة وتضيع مؤونتها الشتوية.
بعد إطلاق النار، ينادي Weathers المرأة الحامل من Native American التي تسافر معه. يدرك Arthur أن الزوجين لم يعد لديهما شيء ويندم لأنه لم يساعد ببساطة في إصلاح العربة. يعرض Weathers قلادة فضية ثمناً للدين. يمكن لـ Arthur أن يقبلها أو يسقط الدين، ثم يخبر Weathers بأن يأخذ المرأة إلى مكان آمن قبل مغادرة Three Sisters.
يتوجه Arthur إلى المنجم في Annesburg بحثاً عن Arthur Londonderry، ليعلم من المشرف أن Londonderry مات. يوجهه المشرف إلى Sawbone Clearing، حيث توجد أرملة Londonderry مع ابنها. تقول إن زوجها أرهق نفسه حتى الموت محاولاً سداد ديونه، وإن العائلة مهددة بفقدان منزلها. يستطيع Arthur إسقاط ما عليها، سواء أعطاها مالاً أم لا، ويعتذر بينما تعود إلى الداخل.
يشعر Arthur بالخزي من العمل الذي أجبره Strauss على القيام به، فيعود إلى Beaver Hollow ويواجهه. يحزم أمتعة Strauss ويقول إنه لن يقتله، رغم اعتقاده بأنه ينبغي له ذلك. يدين Arthur، Strauss لاستغلاله اليائسين، ويرمي المال عليه ويأمره بمغادرة العصابة. يغادر Strauss، Beaver Hollow حاملاً حقيبته.

- ◆During Part VI, there are four bits of foreshadowing quotes that Arthur will remember during his final ride to camp in the "Red Dead Redemption" mission depending on his Honor.

- ◆If Arthur does not collect the debt after starting the mission for Strauss, he will confront Arthur for not getting the money then he will leave the camp because of their situation.
- ◆If Arthur kicks Strauss out at night, Simon Pearson and Susan Grimshaw will wake up scared and move out of the way as Arthur is pushing Strauss towards their beds where he packs his bag.
- ◆After completing the mission, Micah will scold Arthur for kicking Strauss out. Abigail, Jack, Mary-Beth, and Pearson will question about his disappearance, whereas Susan won’t question Arthur’s decision, stating that she understands. Sadie and Swanson would be glad that he is gone. Bill and Tilly will question Arthur if he will kick one of them out like he did to Strauss, to which Arthur will assure the latter that he will not.
- ◆If Arthur follows Strauss after being kicked out of the gang, he will see Strauss and his horse disappear instantly, leaving behind his bag.
- ◆If you are fast enough or use mods, you can kill Strauss and his horse, but doing so will decrease the player's honor by 50%. This is the only instance in the game where the player's honor decreases by such a significant amount.
